GFI MAX RemoteManagement – Dashboard v5.40 and Agent v9.3.0

Hi Everyone,

I am pleased to announce that Dashboard v5.40 and two Agent updates are being released overnight, so that they will be available in advance of the working day tomorrow, Friday 22nd November. This update introduces a couple of key features:

– Remote Service Control: View, start and stop services remotely via this new Remote Background Management feature (RC)
– IASO 2013: Managed Online Backup will start to use IASO 2013 with Exchange 2013 support (RC)

The addition of Remote Service Control rounds off our current development effort on the very well-received Remote Background Management piece, which now offers a trio of powerful features (Remote Command Line, Remote Process Control and now Remote Service Control).

The introduction of IASO 2013 offers support for Exchange 2013 and improved VMware handling, with a view to start billing for these products as soon as it moves from RC to GA.

This release introduces Agent v9.3.0 on RC, and OSX Agent v1.0.1 replaces v1.0.0 as the current production agent. Full release notes are below.
