SolarWinds RMM: NetPath Release Candidate (RC) Now Available

We are excited to announce our newest SolarWinds® RMM feature, NetPath. NetPath rolls out to all territories as a Release Candidate (RC) today.

SolarWinds is taking the NetPath feature available in Network Performance Monitor (NPM) and integrating it into RMM. The decision to integrate NetPath represents another key milestone for SolarWinds in expanding their product portfolio from the main SolarWinds product family into the MSP market. The MSP market has shown a high adoption of cloud/SaaS applications in the small- to medium-sized business sector, making this a perfect fit for your customers.

NetPath monitors connectivity from your users to the services they care about, determines what infrastructure is in the path and where traffic slowdowns are occurring. NetPath does this by measuring the performance characteristics of each network node and link, making it easy to spot slowdowns.

NetPath provides:

  • Visual analysis and problem-solving for hybrid IT
  • Hop-by-hop analysis along critical network paths
  • Enhanced quality of service for end users

Try it today. From the RMM dashboard, select View -> NetPath.

Dashboard v6.52.1

Agent 10.5.0 or above

Features coming soon:

  • Workstation support
  • Multi-Language Support
  • Probe Interval Setting

Note for NetPath Preview customers with existing paths:

In this RC release, we have changed the installation process of NetPath to remove the need for .NET v4.0+ to be pre-installed on the Server. Unfortunately, existing Preview Customers may encounter a problem with the automatic replacement of the DLL responsible for installing NetPath on your system. If you see_new_feature_14.dll in the Advanced Monitoring Agent\features directory, manually stop the Advanced Monitoring Agent Windows Service, delete the existing feature_14.dll, and rename _new_feature_14.dll to feature_14.dll.
